Just passed minimum skills? First bout coming up? This can be a nerve-wracking time!
If this sounds like you, get yourself booked onto the next Rainy City Roller Girls bootcamp, where you will learn blocking and jamming skills designed to help you prepare for that all-important derby debut!
Travel team skaters Mama Firefly, R.E.D, Randi Razorlegs and Cleo Fracture will be sharing their derby knowledge and skills to make sure you skate out with confidence!
Numbers are limited to 30 spaces, in order to keep the session sizes small, so each skater will receive adequate attention.
What you will learn:
- Juking and dodging hits
- Controlling your speed
- Stepping and jumping
- Building walls
- Blocking effectively
- Hitting HARD!
- Counter-blocking
- Falling small and recovering quickly
- … And much more!
The day will round off with a mixed scrimmage, so you’ll need black and white shirts!
