Thunderdome? How do I get in there? Easy, pick a fight!

Two teams enter, one team leaves! Rainy City Roller Girls play host to Central City Roller Girls in a roller derby extravaganza at the Thunderdome, February 11th.

A range of delicious home made fayre will be on offer, and as always, there will be raffle prizes aplenty!

Roller Derby is one of the fastest growing and most exciting all girl contact sports in the UK. Its fierce, feisty, fast paced and fun! The Rainy City Roller Girls are an established all-female full contact roller derby league. We’ve been based in Greater Manchester since 2008. Come see what we do!

Tickets are £7. Under 14s get in free when accompanied by a paying adult.

So, you’ve seen us play, or you’ve looked at our website… Are you ready to put on some skates and become a Rainy City Roller Girl???

We have Monday Night training classes where we will teach you everything you need to know in order to become a roller girl – starting with the very beginning steps of how to stand up on your skates/ how to fall, through to the more complicated steps like the rules of the game, and how tohit hard!!

So you want to play? Here’s how you do it:

1) Congratulate yourself on the first step to becoming an amazing Rainy City Roller Girl – you’re AWESOME!

2) Email us at: rainycityrollergirls@yahoo.co.uk and let us know you’re coming – and your shoe size!

3) Think about what you’re going to wear – something comfy and stretchy like leggings and a tee work well – or of course, the Roller Derby uniform of choice works well too: shorts, fishnets and striped socks (and a top!!)

4) Come along on the next Monday night - 7.30pm -9.30pm* and meet our friendly Rainy City Roller Girls and awesome coaches, ready to fill you full of skating skills and Derby love!

5) Train hard, have fun &  fall in love with the Rainy City Roller Girls and the amazing sport that is Roller Derby!

*sessions cost £6, kit hire is included, we cannot be held responsible for the Roller Derby obsession which will soon rule your life, but we can help you get a fix every week!

In a Christmas bonanza, Rainy City Roller Girls Tender Hooligans will face the Dolly Rockit Rollers on the track at The Thunderdome! Come along and support the Tender Hooligans at their home venue. As always there will be the thrills & spills of full contact Roller Derby, alongside cupcakes, raffles and merchandise on offer!
